Adventure Yurt Campsite
Experience Authentic Alaska in a Private Forest Yurt Retreat
In 2024, Safari Lodge introduced an exclusive forest yurt camp tucked deep within a stunning old-growth woodland. Surrounded by towering spruce and hemlock that have stood for centuries, this private retreat was designed to give guests an authentic Alaskan wilderness experience. With the yurts thoughtfully placed among the trees, the setting creates an unforgettable sense of serenity from the moment you arrive.
Each yurt offers more room than a standard model, giving you plenty of space to relax. Inside, you’ll find modern comforts including Smart TVs, WiFi, a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, portable AC unit, and electric heat. A shared outdoor gathering area features seating and a fire pit, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. While the yurts themselves are dry cabins, guests have access to a shared shower house with on-demand hot water, along with conveniently located porta johns.
Nestled in a peaceful area of Seward, the camp sits just 4 miles from the Small Boat Harbor and downtown—close to restaurants, shops, and local attractions yet far enough to feel secluded.
Please Note: To preserve the cozy, tucked-away atmosphere within the forest, each yurt is positioned on a hillside. Parking is available at the base, but reaching your yurt requires climbing a set of stairs and walking approximately 50 yards up a gravel incline.
